Welcome! I am excited to be teaching World History this year at Bear Creek High School. This is my eighth year teaching (sixth at Bear Creek) and my second year teaching World History. I love history and learning how the past has affected our present-day society, and I'm excited to be able to share that passion with my students. (Yes, I am aware this makes me a nerd.)
I received my Bachelor's degree in History and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from the University of Denver, and began teaching at Rachel B. Noel Middle School in Denver. In 2012, I joined the staff at Bear Creek High School. I was also a student at Bear Creek High School, and if you ask nicely, I may show you my yearbook from freshman year.
Outside of school, I am a reading/photography/outdoor enthusiast. I could eat Mexican food for every meal of every day, and my favorite movies include Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Princess Bride, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. My life goals include visiting all the US National Parks, writing a book, eating Mexican food for every meal of every day (see above), and moving to a cabin in the mountains. Contrary to popular belief, I am not a hipster.
